Aquarius New Moon 2024

Aquarius New Moon 2024 is also, commonly known as Chinese New Year! Other names are Lunar New Year or Spring Festival. Lunar New Year is the second New Moon after the Winter Solstice. This annual celebration is celebrated from the second New Moon after winter solstice until the Full Moon. This year Lunar New Year begins on February 9^th or 10^th (depending on your location in the world) until the Virgo Full Moon on February 24^th or 25^th. A two week celebration. Similar to western New Year, Lunar New Year it is about releasing the past and welcoming in the new and asking for your desires and wishes to be granted.

This year is the Wood Dragon. Dragon represents: Abundance, intelligence, growth, honor and success. Wood cares for nature, is creative and flexible. Together they are adaptable, diplomatic, very creative, favor growth and progress.

Another name for this moon is the Full Snow Moon. This New Moon is at 20 degrees and 40 minutes of Aquarius. At 5:59 pm EST and 2:59 pm PST.

Welcome in the New Year

A simple welcome is all that is necessary. You can light a candle, have a party with your friends or a zoom gathering. Have a moment for yourself. Have fun with it. Keep it as simple as you want or go all out.

Lunar New Year provides favorable winds to work on your goals and aspirations for the year and possibly even years to come. Start a new projects or launch something new. First, remember to also release what you no longer need, desire or want. Write it all down, read it a time or two and burn in a safe container or tear into many pieces and bury in the ground.

I encourage you to begin working on your wishes or desires if you haven’t started. It can be simple or elaborate, you decide. I find writing my desires and wishes for the year and a simple vision board work best for me. I learned that Canva has a free version and you can make a vision board in that program and print it off. One or two desires are enough (once you get started you will probably have more).

I started my desires and goals for the year on January 1st. So, I’m reevaluating my desires and wishes that I made and have made a few adjustments so far and will likely add and adjust again between the February 9th – 23rd. No need to be in a hurry we have another New Moon on March 10th and April 8th. Also, April 19th is Astrological New Year or Spring Equinox in the northern hemisphere. Remember, each New Moon presents us with an opportunity to make our goals, desires, and wishes known.

Sabian Symbols for the Aquarius New Moon 2024

Take away from the Sabian Symbols
